In these busy times i find myself working more and more from photos, and happily I have become accustomed to it. Though it is always preferable for me to meet and become familiar with the subject, when possible.

I typically ask my clients to send me a series of photographs, old or new, of the subject. Also, i find it very easy to add a favorite background to a portrait if it is not in the picture provided of the subject. Through these photographs, I can piece together a wonderful scene. I always encourage summer photos, though I do enjoy painting more formal indoor portraits in the winter months.

A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required when the commission is agreed upon; the balance is due prior to shipping or pick up. Request for minor modifications in the finished portraits will be honored.

My goal is complete client satisfaction. I want you to be thrilled with your portrait and to treasure it for a lifetime. The completion time of a portrait in oil varies between six-to-eight weeks depending on subject material.
